Senior technology leader with 15+ years of enterprise IT experience across AI engineering, hyperconverged infrastructure, and software development — from datacenter strategy and team building to production AI pipelines and shipped software products.
I'm a senior technology leader with over 15 years of enterprise IT experience — starting at the helpdesk in 2011 and growing into architecture, engineering leadership, and AI strategy. Currently leading multiple engineering teams at a large healthcare organization, responsible for enterprise identity, authentication infrastructure, and platform operations at scale.
Outside of my day job, I run a fully self-managed homelab environment — multi-platform hypervisors (Proxmox, Hyper-V, XCP-NG, bhyve, UnRAID, VMware), distributed storage (ZFS, Ceph, GlusterFS), containerized services, custom networking with VLAN segmentation and SSL inspection, and AI pipeline experimentation.
I'm also co-founder of Dog Water Development, an indie game studio with multiple titles in development for Steam and mobile.
A cross-section of infrastructure builds, AI work, and software products. Each project reflects real-world decision-making, architecture ownership, and hands-on delivery.
Designed, built, and operate a private datacenter running five hypervisor platforms simultaneously — Proxmox (3-node cluster), XCP-NG with Xen Orchestra (live migration, shared storage), Hyper-V failover cluster (Windows Server 2022, WSFC), FreeBSD bhyve, and UnRAID. GPU passthrough for Emby transcoding. VMDK import/export across platforms. Total: 15+ VMs across production workloads.
Early adopter of LLMs since GPT-3 era — building AI-assisted development workflows, RAG pipelines, generative media tooling (ComfyUI, AudioCraft), and agentic automation with GitHub Copilot and Claude. Applying AI engineering to game development, infrastructure automation, and internal productivity tooling. Continuously evaluating and deploying emerging AI capabilities at organizational scale.
Architected and deployed a distributed storage environment featuring a 3-node Ceph cluster (CephFS with DFS namespace — \\homelab.local\FileShare), a 30-disk ZFS pool on FreeBSD (2× OS mirror, 2× SLOG mirror, 1× L2ARC cache, 25 data disks), and GlusterFS evaluation for XCP-NG shared storage. Delivers enterprise-class HA storage for VM datastores and media.
Gothic horror incremental clicker spanning two planes of existence — The Pit and The Heavens — with 6 currency tiers, a Transcendence prestige system, and dual-platform release (PC + iOS). Built in Godot 4.6 with GodotSteam integration. Dog Water Development.
Designed and operate a segmented network with OPNsense firewall, VLAN isolation (LAN / servers / storage / DMZ / kids), Squid proxy with SSL Bump for traffic inspection, AdGuard Home with split-brain DNS for internal resolution, WireGuard VPN, and Cloudflare Zero Trust tunnels. Monitoring via Uptime Kuma with Teams webhook alerting.
I'm open to new opportunities. If you're building or scaling a team that needs someone who bridges deep technical execution with strategic thinking — let's talk.
